West Winds Primary School and Nursery Unit

P4-7 NSPCC

10th Oct 2019

Our school had a visit from NSPCC today to share key safety messages and support.  We met buddy the mascot and heard his message that “ALL CHILDREN HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK OUT AND BE SAFE”.

We explored the types of worries we can have and thought about “trusted adults” that we can speak to.  The ladies also shared about Childline and the service it offers. The children practised saying their phone number 0800 1111.

The P6 and P7 classes had further workshops where they got to discuss and make choices about their own safety.

The NSPCC and all its work are funded by charity so it was lovely that we could thank the ladies by giving them a gift towards their work.
